Mr. Batten has been employed by Twin Disc, Inc. since June 1, 1970. He joined the company as a financial analyst and has held the positions of Assistant Secretary; Secretary and Assistant Treasurer; Vice President, Secretary; Executive Vice President; President, Chief Executive Officer; and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to his employment at Twin Disc, Inc., Mr. Batten held the position of Account Executive at Ted Bates and Company. Mr. Batten graduated from Yale University with a B.A. degree in History, and received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
John H. Batten
President, Chief Operating Officer
Elected President, Chief Operating Officer in May of 2008, Mr. Batten is responsible for all manufacturing operations as well as marketing, engineering, human resources and global distribution. He joined Twin Disc in 1996 as an Application Engineer and was promoted to Commercial Manager - Marine, later to Vice President & General Manager, Marine Products and then Executive Vice President. He became a Director of the company in December 2002.
Mr. Batten earned a BA in History from Yale University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado - Boulder. In 2004 he completed the advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School.
Christopher J. Eperjesy
Vice President - Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Mr. Eperjesy has been employed by Twin Disc, Inc. since November 11, 2002. Prior to joining the company, he was Divisional Vice President - Corporate Finance for KMART Corporation, Troy, Michigan. Before that he held various financial analyst and controller positions with DaimlerChrysler in Michigan and Europe from 1996 to 2001. He began his career with Coopers & Lybrand in 1990 in audit and merger and acquisition assignments. Mr. Eperjesy holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Michigan and is a CPA. In addition, he earned an MBA from Indiana University.
James E. Feiertag
Executive Vice President
Mr. Feiertag has overall responsibility for North American manufacturing operations, as well as global sales and marketing activities for the Industrial and Transmission product lines. He joined Twin Disc in 2000 as Vice President, Manufacturing and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2001. Prior to joining Twin Disc, Mr. Feiertag spent 22 years of his career at Rockwell Automation (formerly Allen-Bradley) in various leadership roles.
Mr. Feiertag earned a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and an MBA from Marquette University.
Dean J. Bratel
Vice President Engineering
Promoted to Vice President - Engineering in 2004, Mr. Bratel is responsible for Twin Disc's global engineering programs. Since joining the company in 1987, he has held several positions, including Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, Chief Engineer and Director of Corporate Engineering.
Mr. Bratel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin.
Henri-Claude Fabry
Vice President Global Distribution
Mr. Fabry has been employed by Twin Disc, Inc. since February 1, 1997. He joined Twin Disc International S.A. in Nivelles, Belgium as Director, Marketing and Sales and advanced to Vice President, Marine Marketing and Distribution on July 1, 1999. He became Vice President of Global Distribution in October 2001.
Prior to his employment at Twin Disc, Inc., Mr. Fabry was employed at Marine Power Europe from 1973 to 1997, holding the positions of Managing Director; Sales Manager, Europe; Branch Manager, France; and Area Manager. From 1970 to 1973, he was employed by RCA, S.A. Mr. Fabry holds a degree in Business Administration from the Hautes Etudes Commerciales - Liege.
Denise L. Wilcox
Vice President Human Resources
Promoted to Vice President - Human Resources in 2004, Ms. Wilcox directs Twin Disc's global human resource function. She joined Twin Disc in 1998 as Manager, Compensation & Benefits and became Director of Corporate Human Resources in March of 2002. Prior to joining Twin Disc, she held positions at Johnson International as well as Runzheimer International.
Ms. Wilcox earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Wisconsin - Parkside.
Jeffrey S. Knutson
Corporate Controller
Promoted to Corporate Controller in October 2005, Mr. Knutson acts as the Chief Accounting Officer of the Company, responsible for compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley internal controls, SEC Reporting and income taxes. He joined the Company in early 2005 as the Controller for its domestic manufacturing operation.
Prior to his employment at Twin Disc, Mr. Knutson was employed by Tower Automotive - Milwaukee Division as Controller and also held various financial positions at several divisions of Invensys, at Bucyrus International and at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Knutson has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Wisconsin.
Thomas E. Valentyn
General Counsel and Secretary
Mr. Valentyn joined Twin Disc in September, 2007, as General Counsel. He is responsible for managing the Company's legal function. In October, 2007, Mr. Valentyn was elected an officer and appointed as the Company's Secretary.
Prior to his employment at Twin Disc, Mr. Valentyn was Vice President and General Counsel at Norlight Telecommunications, Inc. Before that, he held positions in the legal department at Johnson Controls, Inc. and was an associate at Borgelt, Powell, Peterson & Frauen, S.C. Mr. Valentyn earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Marquette University. He is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and before the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office.
